CM orders flood losses survey

LAHORE - Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has ordered a survey to assess the losses to house and crops in the flood affected areas.
The CM issued the direction while addressing members of cabinet committee on flood in various districts, divisional headquarters and Civil Secretariat through video conference, on Tuesday.
The meeting reviewed in detail relief activities, protective measures and the situation arising due to rains and flood.
Shahbaz Sharif said that his government would not be left the affectees alone in this hour of distress and use every means for their relief and rehabilitation. He has also asked his party legislators to fully take part in the relief activities in flood and rain-hit areas.
He asked the administration for ensuring proper supply of food thrice a day and availability of necessary medicines to the affectees lodged in relief and medical camps medical camps.
The chief minister directed to utilise all available resources for drainage of accumulated water at some places of Esa Khel, district Mianwali and also supply of more tents for the affected persons affected in that areas.
The chief minister said that all possible resources would be provided for protective bund of Ali Pur.
The PDMA director general gave a briefing with regard to water situation in rivers and relief activities while DG Meteorological department informed about the weather condition in coming days.
