LAHORE - A writ petition has been filed in the Supreme Court seeking directions for the federal government to take the matter of Muttahida Qaumi Movemnt Chief Altaf Hussain in International Court of Justice for his hate speech against the sovereignty of Pakistan.
Barrister Zafarullah Khan has filed the petition in SC Lahore Registry. The petitioner says that Altaf Hussain is nominated in different cases of heinous crimes including demanding extortion, killing innocent people and rebellion against the state.
He says the courts have declared him proclaimed offender but the Pakistan’s government could not arrest him so far. The petitioner submits that there is no agreement between Pakistan and Britain regarding the exchange of criminals and it is the reasons that by every day Altaf Hussain speaks against Pakistan and its armed forces. Many times he has blamed institutions and forces of the country and defamed them across the world which is equal to the rebellion. Now he is asking UNO and India to interfere into the internal matters of Pakistan, he submits.
He prayed the court to direct the government to register high treason case against Altaf Hussain not only in the country but take the matter before the International Court of Justice.
