LAHORE - A 15-year-old boy was found hanging from a tree in Lahore’s Kahna neighbourhood early yesterday.
Police identified the victim as Omar Farooq, who went missing under mysterious circumstances on Friday. His father told the police that Omar left the house to fetch some edibles from a nearby shop but did not come back.
The next morning, his body was found hanging from a tree in Grand Avenue Housing Society located in the limits of Kahna police. Police are treating the death as homicide.
A murder case was filed yesterday against unidentified killers and the police were investigating the killing with no arrest made yet. The body was moved to the morgue for autopsy.

Police identified the victim as Sikandar Zaidi, a resident of Shahdara. Two gunmen riding on a motorcycle stopped Zaidi near a crossing and opened straight fire at him. The gunmen fled instantly while the man died on the spot. The police were investigating the gun-attack with no arrest made yet.
