Uplift schemes being executed speedily: CM

LAHORE - Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that projects aimed at progress and development and provision of basic amenities to the masses are being completed expeditiously.
He expressed these views while talking to a PML-N delegation in Islamabad, on Wednesday. He said that the policy of merit, transparency and speedy execution of uplift schemes was being strictly implemented in the province.
The chief minister said that politics of sit-ins caused huge loss to the country while hurdles were created in investment, economic, trade and industrial activities. However, he said that time of the nation wasted due to these negative activities would be made up through hard work and commitment.
Shahbaz Sharif said that the PML-N government led by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was striving for steering the country out of problems and steps were being taken on priority basis for eliminating terrorism and resolving energy crisis.
He said that solution of the problems being faced by Pakistan and putting it on the road to progress and development is the mission of PML-N and every effort is being made for its achievement. He hoped that sincere efforts being made by the government to overcome terrorism and energy crisis will prove fruitful.
Shahbaz Sharif said that PML-N government was serving the masses selflessly for the last about seven years and the process of development of the province and public service will continue in future as well. He said that no effort will be spared for providing relief to the masses.
The chief minister further said that the deposits of iron ore and copper discovered in Chiniot-Rajwa are a property of 18 crore people of Pakistan and these precious resources will be used for changing the destiny of the nation. He further said that work is also in progress on coal, hydel, solar, LNG and wind power projects. He said that discovery of wind power corridors in Punjab is also a blessing.
