LAHORE - Iranian Cultural Centre Lahore organised seminar titled ‘Great dialogue- Pakistan and Iran relations economy, culture and literature’ yesterday.
Iranian Cultural Centre Director General and Cultural Attache Akbar Barkhurdari said that Pakistan and Iran could enhance the bilateral trade with rise in import and export of rice, livestock, leather, garments, shoes, chemical, and petro industry.
He said along with working on trade, both countries could work extensively on literature, culture and language. He stressed both countries to play role to enhance the bilateral trade.
On the occasion federal Tax Reform Committee member Kashif Anwar said both countries can surge the trade with facilitating businessmen from Iran and Pakistan.
He said in tourism there is an immense potential and we need to build a fully fledged policy on it. He said Iran has done with work on his side on the Iran-Pakistan gas pipelines and Pakistan should avail the chance especially after sanctions were uplift from Iran. Other speakers highlighted that Iran was the first country from international community who recognised Pakistan right after the independence. The seminar was arranged in collaboration with United Business Group.
On the occasion, a large number of members of business community from Punjab were present and spoke also. They expressed their resolve to take trade between both countries to new levels.
