'Govt should play role in Fakhari son's recovery'

LAHORE - PML-Q chief Chaudhary Shujaat Hussain has asked the government to play its due role for the recovery of Ali Ayaz Fakhari, son of renowned artist Jameel Fakhari, while being part of the Opposition he will raise the issue in the Senate. He expressed these views while talking to the media on Sunday at the residence of Jameel Fakhari after expressing his sympathies with the famous artist on the missing of his son in the US for the last 22 months. PML-Q chief also asked the government to press the Pakistans Ambassador in the US, Hussain Haqqani to play proactive role for the recovery of Jameel Fakharis son. Praising the role of media, he said more people were contacting the media to attract the attention of the rulers for addressing injustices with them, as the police was not in the habit of helping the poor. How a foreign government could take serious notice of the incident when our own government would not do anything for its citizen, he questioned. Senator Dilawar Abbas and former minister Naseer Khan were also present on this occasion.
