'Kashmir liberation sans Jihad impossible'

LAHORE - Jihad is the only option to liberate Occupied Kashmir in case United Nations resolutions on it are not implemented, say leaders of PML-Q. PML-Q Leaders Ch Zaheer-ud-Din, Secretary General Punjab PML-Q, Mohsin Leghari and others expressed these views while addressing a seminar at Muslim League House in connection with Kashmir Solidarity Day on Friday. Ch Zaheer said Kashmir was a freedom struggle and not only the dispute of water. Warning the enemies of Pakistan, he said, Pakistan is a nuclear state and these weapons are protectors of independence and honour and we could use them if someone tried to threaten our sovereignty. He said the destiny and objective of people of Pakistan and Kashmir were the same and no conspiracy could stop the Pakistanis from supporting their Kashmiri brethrens. He said Jihad was the only way to liberate the Occupied Kashmir, as India could not be persuaded through talks for a peaceful settlement of the issue. Shahana Farooqi expressing solidarity with Kashmiris through a resolution strongly condemned the human rights violations in the Held Valley. Mohsin Leghari said Kashmir was the oldest issue pending with United Nations and international communitys silence on the issue was criminal. Ch Ashraf said that PML-Q and the entire nation would not take a single step backward on the issue of Kashmir and would always stood by their Kashmiri brethren to resolve the issue. Amna Ulfat said Kashmiris were on the right path and their struggle was bound to success despite all the barbaric tactics of India. Seemal Kamran said the incumbent rulers instead of taking up the important issues of the country especially Kashmir engaged in their deal issues. He said Kashmir was part of Pakistan map and PML-Q with support of the entire nation would make once again bring the Kashmir on the map of Pakistan. Seminar A seminar on 'Media and Global Survey Perceptions about Pakistan under the auspices of Hameed Nizami Press Institute of Pakistan would be held at 2:00pm at the Auditorium of the Institute, C-4, LDA Flats, Lawrence Road here on Saturday (today). Former Federal Minister SM Zafar would preside over the seminar while Provincial Minister for Law Rana Sanaullah, Chairman Gallup Pakistan, Dr Ijaz Shafi would be the chief guests. The speakers include Ifikhar Ahmad (host Jawabdeh), Mubashir Lucman (host Point Blank) and a political analyst, Ashraf Sharif.
