Christians also support struggle

LAHORE - Kashmiris have long suffered at the hands of Indian army and their right to freedom should be respected. The international community must take notice of the human rights abuses in the Indian occupied Kashmir. This was stated in a press release issued here on Wednesday by Vicar of Cathedral Church Rev Shahid Miraj on the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day. “The Christians of Pakistan fully support the Kashmiris freedom struggle and express full solidarity with them. The issue must be settled according to the UN resolutions and wishes of Kashmiri people.
India should realise that persecuting Kashmiris will never be accepted by the world community,” he said.  Miraj called upon the UN and other international organisations to take up the issue of Indian occupied Kashmir so as to end the abuse of Kashmiris rights.
