Indian Punjab Deputy CM arrives


LAHORE - A 45-member delegation led by Indian Punjab Deputy Chief Minister, Sukhbir Singh Badal arrived here on Monday through Joint Check Post (JCP) Wagha border.
Punjab Assembly Speaker Rana Muhammad Iqbal received the delegation and presented a bouquet to the Indian deputy chief minister. Law Minister Rana Sanaullah, Education Minister Mujatba Shujaur Rehman, MNA Pervaiz Malik, MPA Zaeem Qadri, Lahore commissioner and senior civil and military officers were also present on the occasion.
Talking to the media, Rana Iqbal said that the friendly ties between Pakistan and India were growing rapidly. He said that both countries were making efforts to learn from each others experiences in various fields of life. “The arrival of the Indian delegation shows that both countries are ready and making efforts for a better future,” he said.
Indian Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal said that the arrival of the Indian delegation was in fact reunion of two real brothers. He maintained that the cooperation with Pakistan in industry, sports and other fields would strengthen friendly ties between the two countries.
