LAHORE - Secretary Literacy and Non-formal Basic Education Department Punjab Dr Allah Bakhsh Malik has said that if we want to make progress then we will have to give high status to the teachers in the society. He expressed these views while addressing a function held in connection with International Teachers Day at Punjab Literacy Resource Centre arranged by Capacity Building Project of Literacy and Non-Formal Basic Education Department. Project Director Capacity Building Ubaid Ullah Khokhar, JICA Advisor Chiho Ohashi, Project Coordinator Abid Gull, JICA Team, teachers and officers of Capacity Building Project were present on this occasion. Allah Bakhsh said that teachers of Non-Formal Basic Education had to work harder than teachers of formal education due to multi-grade teaching therefore, we would have to recognise the role of teachers in the real sense.
