LAHORE - A 35-year-old labourer died and almost 35 others fell unconscious after eating allegedly poisonous food in a factory located at Bhajian Stop in Raiwind City on Friday. The deceased was identified as Noor Mohammad, resident of Chakwal. Police investigators said some 36 labourers had been working in a local factory since long. They said on the day of incident they took poisonous meal and became unconscious. The factory administration and some locals, however, rushed them to a nearby hospital where the doctors pronounced Noor Mohammad dead. The condition of Imran, Niamat, Wasim, Farooq, Mehmood, Jehangir, Asif, Ali, Khuram, Rehman and Imran was stated to be critical. Later, the police handed over the body to the deceaseds heirs after necessary medico-legal formalities.
