LAHORE All Pakistan Transport Owners Federation and All Pakistan Petroleum Dealers Association welcomed the decision of the government regarding decrease in petroleum products. The transporters announced to withdraw the decision of increasing fare across the country after the government announcement. 'We have asked all the transporters regarding 10 per cent decrease in fares which we had increased earlier due to recent hike in POL prices, Chairman Transporters Federation Azam Khan said. The commuters would be charged old fares from Friday, he added. Talking to TheNation on Thursday, the representatives of both the associations said though they would face loss they welcomed the Prime Ministers announcement for revising POL prices. Vice-chairman APPDA Chaudhry Muhammad Sadiq said the petrol pump owners had reserved oil which was purchased at high prices but they would sell it according to fresh prices which the PM announced.
