LAHORE – The unruly element in PTI youth wing, mostly comprises newcomers, beat up the old (founding members) during a press conference when they tried to entry the hall of a local hotel on Wednesday.
The incident took place during the press conference of Ibrarul Haq, chief of PTI’s youth wing, who organized it at a local hotel to announce dissolution of youth wing organizations in all the provinces, besides nominations of temporary presidents of youth wings in three provinces and a convener to oversee the working committee comprising of divisional and regional presidents of Punjab. The brawl started when Jamil Bhatti, Waqar Khan the newcomers in the youth wing along with their supporters tried to stop the founding members, Ali Raza, Shehyar Virk, Rana Naveed and others from entering the hall where the event was taking place. They used foul language and then moved to fists and punches.
Ibrarul Haq watched the entire episode as a silent spectator, which raised many eyebrows and attested that Ibrar may condone such a shameful act. The aggressors also tried to stop media from covering the incident. Later, the old members of the youth wing were pushed out of the hall and then the hotel limits by the security staff.
The angry and insulted founding youth wing leaders told the media that people like Jamil Bhatti who was a close relative of PTI member, Abdul Rasheed Bhatti allegedly notorious for his involvement in land grabbing cases were now at the helm of affairs of the youth wing.
While, the goon elements this time tried to bully the media persons to stop them from covering the highly insulting behaviour with the founding members of the youth wing and the workers who were rendering sacrifices for Imran Khan.
Meanwhile, Ibrarul Haq addressing the press conference after the incident, announced that Hassan Sardar, Murad Saeed, Faisal Dhawar Baloch have been appointed as presidents of youth wing Sindh, Khyber Pukhtunkhawa and Balochistan respectively, while Zubair Khan Niazi has been appointed as convener to oversee the working committee of the youth wing comprising divisional and regional presidents of Punjab.
