FIA Immigration authorities on Monday offloaded 28 youngsters who were trying to visit Libya on fake travel documents, said an Immigration officer.
All passengers after being offloaded were arrested and sent to Anti Human Trafficking Cell (AHTC) for further action.
All the passengers whose ages were ranging between 22 to 30 were job seekers and were facilitated by human smugglers. Human smuggler who claimed to be travel agents received Rs300000 to Rs400000 from each youngster for Libya.
“We received information that on Monday about 90 people would try to board a Dubai bound flight on fake visa of Libya”, said immigration officer and added that when we intercepted 28 passengers rest of them were asked not proceed by their travel agent. Sources claimed that Libya war torn country and reconstructive projects were being initiated by UN. These laborers were trapped by travel agents on the pretext of bright future and lucrative jobs.
