FIA men rescued by police

LAHORE - Team headed by Assistant Director FIA Mian Asif thrashed two employees at EDO Health office on Tuesday, causing staff to go on strike.
Mian Asif, along with two FIA men, arrived at EDO Health office on Tuesday and asked clerk Muhammad Akram to receive a letter. On his refusal and insistence to leave the letter at EDO’s office, Mian Asif slapped Akram. He and the other FIA men thrashed Akram and other employees and damaged furniture.
On listen hue and cry, other employees gathered and they took FIA team hostage. They also called Police on 15. Getting information, Advisor to the Chief Minister on Health Kh Salman Rafiq, Parliamentary secretary health Kh Imran Nazir and Director General Health Dr Zahid Pervaiz reached EDO Health Office. SP Civil Line also reached the office with Police contingent and managed to rescue the FIA team.
EDO Health office employees threatened to go on strike if legal action was not taken against Mian Asif and other FIA men.
