LAHORE - A 16-year-old boy was found dead with his head smashed, presumably with a pounding stone, at Raiwind Road on early Tuesday. The body was moved to the morgue for autopsy. Clad in black-shirt and jeans, the youth was lying dead alongside a road in Nawab Sahib as the police investigators reached the spot. Some passersby spotted the blood-soaked body and contacted the police by phone.
Police are yet to establish the identity of the youth while investigators say they believe unidentified killers smashed the head of the teenage boy with bricks, apparently to conceal his identity.
A police official termed the killing as blind murder and said that the investigators also recovered a blood-stained brick from the crime scene. Forensic experts later visited the crime scene to collect evidences. The Nawab Town police have registered the murder case against unidentified killers and are investigating with no arrest made yet.
