Striking staff sacked

LAHORE - The Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) management has sacked its four officials for protesting against irregularities in the organisation, The Nation has learnt.
The PEF Board of Directors met Tuesday to discuss employees’ protest  and issued sacking orders of four officials, bearing date of May 5.  Those who have been sacked are Deputy Managing Director Operations Tanveer Ahmed, Director Information and Technology M Usman, incharge New School Programme Hasan Javed and Deputy Director Operation Mohsin Rasheed.  One of the sacked officials told this scribe that the PEF management had called meeting of the Board of Directors to discuss the issue but PEF MD Aneela Salman had issued letter of their sacking one day earlier (May 5).
