Election tribunals for cantonment boards



LAHORE: The Lahore High Court on Wednesday constituted election tribunals to hear rigging cases of all the 20 cantonment boards.
On April 21, the ECP had written a letter to LHC and requested for the constitution of election tribunals.
On Wednesday, the LHC accepted the request and issued a notification for appointment of judges to head election tribunal for cantonment elections.
The judicial officers who were appointed as tribunal judge included Lahore Sessions Judge Tariq Iftikahr, Bahadur Ali Khan for Rawalpindi, Muahmmad Azam for Attok, Tahir Sabir for Sargodha, Faiz Muhammad for Jhang and  Ameer Muhamamd for Gujranwala while Khalid Hameed Dar for Gujrat, Shahid Rafiq for Sialkot, Syed Pervez Ali Shah for Okara, Qaisar Nazeer Butt for Multan and Rana Masood Akhtar for Bahawalpur.–Staff Reporter
