LAHORE - Headed by Chief Justice Ijaz Ahmad Chaudhry, a Division Bench of the Lahore High Court Thursday issued notice for the appearance of SHO and IO concerned along with record of the case on a petition filed by Ayesha Malik, the daughter of former MPA Ahad Malik, to question the subordinate court order of giving her to judicial remand for 10 days. Ayesha is facing a criminal case registered with Women Police station on a complaint that she had abducted her Philippines maid. The petitioner contended that she has been politically victimised through this case and that she committed no offence. She says through her counsel Azam Nazir Tarar that the court below remanded her to judicial custody for 10 days contrary to the spirit of law and without examining evidence against her. She prayed to the court for recalling the impugned order and quashing the FIR in question. The court has called for Friday appearance of the SHO and the IO along with record of the case.
