Some elements hatching conspiracy: Rana Mashhood

LAHORE - Provincial Law Minister Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan said that some elements are involved in hatching conspiracy and challenging writ of the government by creating chaos and anarchy in the country.
He said the nation has given mandate to the PML-N which would be safeguarded by the people and constitution of Pakistan. He said that law enforcement agencies would not be deterred by the threats of Tahirul Qadri. He said that no person would be allowed to violate law or talk of hanging policemen. He said that those who are gathering proclaimed offenders to topple the government and ordering their workers to fix nails on their batons would not be allowed to violate law of the land. He vowed that such people would be dealt with iron hand.
He expressed these views while addressing a news conference at National Hockey Stadium here on Thursday. Provincial Minister for Environment and Police Reforms, Col. (R) Shuja Khanzada was also present on the occasion.
Rana Mashhood said that Tahirul Qadri and Imran Khan wanted to push the people into a blind alley. He warned the leaders of the consequences of illegal activities. He said the elements, who do not abide by the law and constitution, wanted to create disruption and hooliganism in the country but he said the law would take its course against them. He said that those who are using indecent language in their provocative speeches would not be tolerated.
He said that Imran Khan and Tahirul Qadri would be responsible for any loss caused to the democratic system. He said that it is insult of the people mandate to dub a democratic government as monarchy. He said that Imran Khan got disappointed as his wishes went unfulfilled, but the PTI leader should not divide the nation. He said that PML-Q chief Ch Shujaat did not learn from his party’s crushing defeat in 2013 general elections. He that Ch Shujaat’s condition is pitiable and he likes to walk under the umbrella of a dictator. He said that Ch Brothers are trying to come into power with the help of a person who has no political importance. He said that Ch Brothers should forget martial law or becoming a part of it.
Replying to a question, Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan said that a citizen Zulfiqar had submitted an application to register a case against Maulana Tahirul Qadri for delivering rebellious speeches and a case has been registered against the PAT chief in Police Station Lower Mall Lahore.
Replying to another question, Rana Mashhood said that the government is waiting for final report of the joint investigation team and judicial commission.
