Bad governance can put Punjab on sectarian strife path: PTI

Lahor- PTI Punjab chapter leaders claimed on Saturday that bad governance of the federal government in general and Punjab government in particular could put the country especially Punjab on path of sectarian strife.
PTI provincial leaders, Ijaz Chaudhry and Dr Yasmin Rashid, expressed these views addressing a meeting of the party leaders held to review the overall situation with special focus on law and order.
Condemning the killing of Maulana Shamsur Rehman, they said in the last three days two top leaders one in Karachi and one in Lahore of the Shia and Sunni communities had been assassinated, which established extremely poor condition of law and order situation during the incumbent regime.
They said continuous failure of the government to main law and order could ignite a sectarian strife especially in Punjab, which could result in a civil war like situation.
PTI leaders said operation in Karachi was a complete failure, while the Punjab government was also unsuccessful in maintaining law and order. They were of the view that government miserably failed in avoiding the Rawalpindi incident and could not arrest the culprits too.
They said Rawalpindi and Lahore were becoming part of major crimes and assassinations and warned that it could result in a sectarian strife.
PTI leaders remarked that provincial chief executive left the people at the mercy of the dacoits and bandits, as he was busy in running the affairs of the federal government.
