Exhibition by Iranian artists

LAHORE Iranian Cultural Centre (Khana-e-Farhang) is commemorating cultural week by displaying Iranian miniature paintings, calligraphy and handicrafts work at Alhamra Art Gallery, The Mall. The exhibition, which opened on Sunday, has been organised to mark the celebrations of the 32nd anniversaries of Irans Islamic Revolution. The artists of Iran including renowned calligrapher Hussain Ali Asfandyari, miniature artist Mohammad Raza Talbi and Mehdi Paikaam are participating in the exhibition by displaying their art work. On 2nd day of the exhibition, a large number of students from different institutions visited the site and admired the rich culture of Iran and also Iranian artists. They also admired the pottery work and other articles which are the creations of the top Iranian craftsmen from Isphan, Pikaam Isphani, miniature paintings, 14-story based pictorial miniature paintings by Nussrat Arab, a renowned Iranian artist who lives in the Iranian Consulate, Lahore. The exhibition will remain open till February 10.
