LAHORE - DIG Traffic Tariq Masood Yaseen suspended ten police officers including one Inspector and nine wardens on the charges of showing negligence while discharging their duty here on Wednesday. The DIG also awarded punishment of sending them on close line to 17 other traffic officers on the same charges. The sanctioned officers included Traffic Sector Misri Shah Incharge Inspector Malik Arif, Saeedul Zaman, Sector Incharge Lorry Adda Inspector Javeed Iqbal and Mian Zaheer, Ravi Road Inspector Arshad, Malik Sagheer, Sherakot Sector Incharge Mohammad Afzal, Saeed Tariq, Sector Raiwind Inhcarge Zaffar Abbas, Amanullah, Traffic Sector Khyaban-e-Jinnah Incharge Abdul Hameed, Sayed Najaf Gul, Kot Lakhpat Incharge Saeed Ahmad, Sarfaraz, Nawankot Sector Incharge Inspector Nadeem, Inspector Mubeen, traffic warden Atif, Ilyas, Usman, Salah Uddin, Raza Abbas, Fakhar Watto, Sajid, Abbas and Farukh. In an official communiqu issued on Wednesday, Tariq Masood Yaseen said none of the officers was above the law. He said the traffic police should play the role of guiders to the citizens. The DIG added wardens should provide proper guidelines to the citizens while adopting polite attitude towards them.
