LAHORE – Police investigators on Wednesday said that the youth who mercilessly murdered his 70-year-old father in Ghaziabad police areas last week, has been arrested.
The accused, identified as Muhammad Bilal, has also confessed to the police investigators that he killed his father, Munir Butt, to take revenge because the old man used to torture his mother. “Since childhood, I had decided to take revenge because throughout his life my father ill-treated my mother,” a police source quoted the killer as telling the police investigators.
However, police claimed that they arrested two accused in the killing of the old man including son of the deceased, who murdered his father over property dispute.
According to police sources, the youth along with his friend, Muhammad Hafiz, killed his father at their residence in Ghaziabad police vicinity but staged the drama that the old man had been murdered by robbers on offering resistance in order to mislead the police investigators.
The police have also arrested Muhammad Hafiz, an accomplice of the accused in the murder case. Hafiz also confessed to the police that he had helped his friend to kill the old man just for greed of getting a new car. Further investigations are underway.
