LAHORE: In order to improve the public service delivery in government offices, Punjab Chief Secretary Naveed Akram Cheema has directed the secretaries of all departments to listen to the problems and complaints of the people from 8:00am to 9:00am daily in their offices and ensure their resolution.
In case of official engagements of any secretary, a responsible officer of the concerned department will perform this duty.
The chief secretary has also issued instructions for enhancing security arrangements at the entry and exit routes of the Civil Secretariat Punjab and its adjoining offices due to the present security situation.
He said that permission of entry will be given to the employees working in the offices and the complainants only after their thorough scrutiny and checking so that entry of any suspect or unconcerned person could be stopped.
Furthermore, instructions have also been issued for ensuring the convenience of government employees and the people during security checking so that the complainants should not have to wait without any justification.–Handout
