LAHORE - A teenage boy gunned down his beloved for betraying him in love and later shot himself injured in Ghalib Market police limits here on Thursday. Ghalib Market Police Station SHO Mohammad Abid told this scribe that Aamir Jamil (19) fired at the girl (Sana), resident of Millat Park who died on the spot and afterward he also shot himself. According to the initial investigation the accused Aamir, a taxi driver, had fallen in love with Sana few years and they used to meet at the rooftop of the house of the girl, the SHO said. On the day of incident, the girl retuned from the house of his maternal uncle after a few days stay. Aamir could not see her during this period and he got infuriated and made up his mind to kill her. When Aamir learnt that Sana had returned home, he reached in front of her house and played songs in his vehicle. Listening the sound of the songs, Sana came out of her house and asked him to reach the rooftop, which he did instantly. According to the witnesses, the boy opened fire at the girl and killed her on the spot and later shot himself as the neighbours picked both of them from the rooftop. The injured youth was shifted to the Services Hospital where his condition was reported to be critical till filing of this report. However on the complaint of Fiaz Ahmed, father of the girl, police have registered an FIR against Aamir. Further investigations were underway.
