DARGAI - To condemn the murder of religious leader Maulana Mohammad Qasim, activists of Jamiat Ulema-e-Pakistan (JUP) Malakand chapter, on Sunday staged a protest demonstration here in Dargai on Sunday.
The protestors, led by JUP Central Vice President Mufti Fazal Jameel Rizvi, Mulana Rehmatullah Qadri, Mulana Abdur Razaiq and others, were holding placards and banners inscribed with slogans against the killing, and marched from Jamia Subhania Dargai towards main bazaar. The protestors also raised slogans against the killers and asked the government to immediately arrest the culprits.
Addressing the protesters, the speakers urged the government to arrest those involved in the murder of Maulana Mohammad Qasim who was recently gunned down by unknown gunmen in Quetta.
The JUP activists said the US, India and Israel wanted to separate Balochistan from Pakistan and for this purpose they were creating law and order situation. They demanded of the government to take steps to stop the target killing of JUP leaders and provide protection to seminaries.
