LAHORE: The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) arrested Gujjarpura Police Station Sub-Inspector Abudl Hafeez after rejection of his interim bail from the Lahore High Court, said spokesman for the ACE.
He said that the ACE director appeared before the court of Justice Syed Iftikahr Hussain Shah to pursue the case. Complainant Dr Noorul Islam, resident of China Scheme, alleged that the sub-inspector misappropriated Rs 55,000 during his body search when he appeared before the accused in a quarrel case.  During course of inquiry allegations were proved true and an FIR was registered against the accused. The sub-inspector got interim bail from the court which was cancelled on Tuesday and accused was arrested by the ACE.–Staff Reporter
