LAHORE - Mystery shrouds the arrival of PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto in Lahore as her two sisters, Bakhtawar and Assefa reached here yesterday evening.
Local party leaders were tight-lipped about Bilawal’s arrival in the City with some saying he has landed while others said he will come tomorrow (today).
He was scheduled to come to Lahore on January 9 (today), but the arrival of her two sisters on Friday gave rise to speculations that Bilawal also accompanied them. But party sources were not ready to confirm or deny whether their party leader had reached the city or not.
A party source who sought anonymity said that all members of the Bhutto family don’t travel in the same plane due to security reasons. This is why Bilawal’s sisters arrived a day earlier and he will reach on Saturday as per schedule.
Another party source however said that Bilawal has also reached Lahore along with her sisters.
Bilawal would be attending a mass wedding ceremony at Bilawal House Lahore on January 10 (Sunday) as chief guest. The event has been organised by an NGO run by one of the daughters of PPP leader Mian Manzoor Wattoo. On Monday, he is scheduled to address members of Lahore High Court Bar Association. He will meet executive committee members of the central and south Punjab organisations on Tuesday.
On Saturday afternoon (today), the PPP chairman is expected to meet party Senators, MNAs and MPAs from Punjab at Bilawal House.
