SKMCH launches Zakat campaign

LAHORE - Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre launched its Zakat Campaign here the other day in an event held at the hospital, says a press release.
Hundreds of young and energetic volunteers participated in the eventwith the aim to get awareness and participation in Zakat campaign.
Hospital’s Chief Executive Officer Dr Faisal was the chief guest of the ceremony. Dr Faisal praised the volunteers in his speech for their noble services to the hospital in previous Zakat campaigns.
He hoped and anticipated that this year also the volunteers will work hardto achievehospital’s 7.2 billion rupees budget target for this year. Zakat and donation collected will be spent on the treatment of indigent cancer patients being treated at Shaukat Khanum Cancer Hospital.
He said that people can deposit their Zakat or donations at any bank nationwide, our offices or laboratory collection centres, easy-paisa shops, UBL Omni shops or any Nadra e-sahulat centre.
Online donation service is also available at hospital’s website. Administration of the hospital is hopeful that people will donate generously, like previous years, to make it possible for the hospital to continue cancer treatment of its patients, he said.
