Eid Milad to be celebrated with religious fervour tomorrow

LAHORE - Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) will be celebrated with religious enthusiasm and reverence throughout Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir tomorrow (Tuesday). It will be a public holiday and all the government and semi government organisations, educational institutions, commercial centres, markets and bazaars will remain closed. Newspapers will bring out special supplements while TV and radio channels will air special programmes on the day. The day will dawn in the federal capital with 31-gun salute and in provincial capitals and Muzaffarbad with 21 gun salutes. Special prayers will be offered in the mosques after Fajr prayers for the solidarity and integrity of the country and progress of the nation. Central Seerat conference and exhibitions of seerat books will be held at the federal capital while provincial seerat conferences will be held in the provincial metropolises today (Monday). Seerat conferences will also be held in the mosques on the night between 10th and 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal in which ulema will talk about the life and teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). Mehfil-e-Milad & Na'at which commenced with the sighting of moon will be at their peak today and tomorrow. Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) processions will be taken out from all the cities and towns villages. After Fajr prayers on Tuesday, the processions will travel on their traditional routes. In Lahore milad mehfils were organised at hundreds of places during the week while the City will be humming with milad mefils today and tomorrow. The Milad-un-Nabi processions will also be brought out from over hundreds of places in the City. The main Milad procession will be brought out from Lahore Railway Station at 9 am. At least 100 processions from the nine zones of the City will join the main procession. President Markazi Committee Milad-un-Nabi Taqreebat, Malik Aftab Rubbani and Mian Ijaz Momin Ji in a statement said that 1010 gun-salute would be given at the opening of the procession. A contingent of disciplined forces will hold a march past. The procession will travel from Australasia Chowk, Brandreth Road, Dil Mohammad Road, Fleming Road Chowk, Nisbet Road, Akhbar Market, Aibak Road, Mochi Gate, Lohari gate and will terminate at Darbar Data Sahib in the evening. The other main procession will be brought out from Milad Chowk outside Dehli Gate. Mian Mujtaba Shuja ur Rehman and others will lead the procession. It will travel on its traditional route from Rang Mahal, Shahalam market, Soha Bazaar, Paniwala Talab, Tehsil bazaar, Bhati Gate and will terminate at Darbar Data Sahib in the evening A torch-bearing procession will be brought out from Hizbun Ihnaf and Data Darbar to Regal Chowk today evening. Syed Mukhtar Ashraf Rizvi will lead the procession. An international Milad conference will be held under the aegis of Minhaj-ul-Quran movement at Minar-e-Pakistan today evening. Prof Dr Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri and other eminent ulema will address following Na'at session. Tanzeem-e-Islami Lahore will organise a seerat conference at Alhamra Hall No 1 tomorrow (Tuesday) at 10:30 am. Amir-e-Tanzim Hafiz Aakif Saeed and founder of the Tanzim Dr Israr Ahmad will also address.
