Cole calls on Punjab gov

LAHORE: Newly-appointed political councilor in British High Commission Genfer Cole called on Punjab Governor Ch Sarwar at Governor House on Saturday. The outgoing political councilor Susan Hiland was also present on the occasion.
The governor said that the present leadership of the country was making all out efforts to bring political stability and peaceful environment in the country. He said that various mega projects had been initiated to overcome electricity shortage and the government was committed to bring about socio-economic change in the life of people.
“Pakistan gives great importance to its relations with Britain and intends to take advantages of its expertise in energy, infrastructure, health, education and social sectors,” Ch Sarwar added.
The political councilor of British High commission said that the relation between Pakistan and Britain are based on mutual respect and her country wants boosting two-way cooperation in different fields.–Staff Reporter
