lahore - Bad weather in Lahore failed Interior Minister Ch Nisar Ali Khan and Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif to reach Islamabad and attend the National Security Conference which was attended by both civil and military functionaries in the background of ongoing Zarb-e-Azb operation against the militants in Norh Waziristan.
The plane carrying both the leaders returned from the runway and they could not attend the meeting of the National Security Council.
Prior to that, Interior Minister Ch Nisar Ali Khan and Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, at as meeting here on Saturday, discussed the security situation and the strategy to deal with the protest of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) against the government. Sources say both the leaders also exchanged views on the Azadi March of the PTI on August 14 and finalised their planning to deal with both the protests.
