Contempt of court petition against SHO Race Course

LAHORE The sessions court has been approached through a contempt of court petition against SHO Race Course upon non- compliance with a court order regarding registration of a criminal case against PML-N sitting minister Sardar Dost Muhammad Khosa and his accomplices allegedly for kidnapping and killing Sapna Khan. The petition has been filed by Sapna Khans father Masal Khan, who impleaded Inspector General of Police Punjab, Capital City Police Officer, Lahore, Station House Officer Race Course Police Station and DSP, Race Course Police Station. The petitioner said the sessions court, disposing of the petition on December 7, had ordered the SHO Race Course to act in accordance with law after recording the statements of the petitioner and investigating the matter. The SHO refused to register the case on Dec 7 on the pretext that he has not received any court order in this regard. The petitioner alleged that the SHO was under pressure as it was not a secret that accused Dost Muhammad Khosa was a former Punjab Chief Minister and had all means to influence the police. The petitioner requested the court to summon the SHO for not complying with the court order and contempt proceedings may initiate against him.
