LAHORE: The Punjab University has awarded PhD degree to scholar Jamil Ahmad Nutkani, son of Ahmad Khan Nutkani, in the subject of Islamic Studies after the approval of his thesis “Occidentalism in Colonial Sub-Committee (Islamic Perspective). Jamil’s PhD thesis has been supervised by Prof Dr Jamila Shaukat, Professor Emeritus at Islamic Studies department of Punjab University.
Jamil is currently serving as Assistant Director at DPI (Secondary Education), Punjab, Lahore.
