15 criminals involved in 25 cases nabbed


LAHORE – Punjab Highway Patrol and Lahore Police have arrested 15 criminals involved in more than 25 cases of different natures in Capital City on Thursday. According to the details, PHP claimed to have four most wanted culprits, recovered illegal firearms and stolen thread from their possession.
The arrested accused men were identified as Muhammad Ali, Khadam Hussain, Iftikhar Ahmad and Shahid Mehmood of Rawalpindi.
Police teams also recovered two pistols from their possession. Similarly, PHP team Chimranwali, Jhang also arrested three robbers namely Faqeer Hussain, Akbar Ali and Muhammad Arshad of Faisalabad. Cases have been lodged against them. Further investigations are underway.
Meanwhile, eight members of two notorious criminal gangs were rounded up by Sandha and Samanabad police station on Thursday. The City’s operations police spokesman said three dacoits namely Ashraf alias Acchu and his three accomplices Sami alias Sunni, Adnan and Abdul Ghafoor were arrested by Samanabad police and recovered two stolen motorbikes, three cell phones and other valuables from their possession.
Reportedly, they have confessed to committing 19 crimes in various areas. Similarly, Gulshan-e-Ravi Circle including Sandha police arrested four drug peddlers including the ringleader Baghi Khan alias Baghi and his three accomplices namely Bilal, Liaqat and Khanzada.
Police claimed to have recovered four kg and 420 gram charras, two motor rickshaws and three cell phones from their possession.
They have been handed over to the investigation wing for further investigation.
