LAHORE  - Eminent writer Allama Abdus Sattar Asim has written another book on distinguished and famous columnist Hameed Akhtar named “Qissa Ek Sadi Ka”. The book has been published and dished out by Qalm Foundation International, Urdu Bazar Lahore wherein writer has collected more than 300 Akhtar Hameed’s columns that were published in various national Urdu dailies across the country and put them at one place for the convenient of Hameed Akhtar’s lovers.
The columnist Hameed Akhtar was very senior and seasonal journalist and was popular amongst masses as he usually used simple words in his columns that even an average reader can easily understand the meanings between lines.
A well-known publisher Malik Maqbool Ahmad said that despite state suppression, incarceration and financial woes, Hameed Akhtar had preached his notions among readers with zeal and enthusiasm in such a way that under review book “Qissa ek Sadi Ka” has become century authentic history.
Nawa-i-Waqt Patron-in-Chief Majid Nizami said that Asim always writes according to the modern writing technique and in line with the Two-Nation Theory, adding that Asim has written for the welfare of the masses.
Besides, Majid Nizami, Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan, Dr Anwar Sadeed, Hafiz Hussain Ahmad, Yousaf Baig Mirza, and others also praised his attempt.
