Neuro workshop concludes

LAHORE - Two-day training workshop on neuro angiography concluded here on Sunday at Lahore General Hospital. Addressing the concluding ceremony, the medical experts said that the installation of state-of-the-art neuro angiography machine at LGH was a revolutionary step which had enabled the doctors to treat and repair the veins of the brain without opening the skull. Previously doctors had been conducting long operations for cerebral arterio-venous malformations which took a long time for healing the wound. During the workshop renowned neuron radiologist from England Dr Peter Keston conducted procedure through neuro angiography machine and demonstrated practical formation for local doctors training. Head of Neuro Radiology Department LGH Prof. Dr. Anjum Habib Vohra, Dr. Umair Rasheed, Dr. Shehzad Kareem, MS Dr. Salahuddin Khan and others from different hospitals including Shaikh Zayed Hospital and Shaukat Khanum Hospital also attended the workshop. Principal PGMI/LGH Prof Dr Tariq Salahuddin said that on the direction of Punjab CM neuro angiography machine installed in LGH at a cost of Rs.200 million.
