LAHORE  - Noted Qari Ghulam Rasool passed away on Sunday. He was 80. He survived with three sons, four daughters and a widow.
He was born in 1935 in Lahore. He got education from famous seminary Darsgah Hizbul Ehnaf. He learned Qirat fom Qari Abdul Malik and later on became famous across the glob due to God gifted qualities. He was awarded with numerous awards besides presidential award. He had recited holy Quran at PTV and Radio Pakistan for more than 50 years. He also taught at Jamia Nizamia and later on established his own five madaris. He was close friend of Shah Ahmed Noorani and Mualana Abdul Sattar Niazi.
His funeral would be offered today (Monday) after Zohr prayers at Darul Quran New Garden Town, Lahore.
JUP leaders including Pir Ijaz Hashmi, Shah Muhammad Awaiz Noorani, Qari Zawar Bahadur and others expressed deep sense of sorrow on his death prayed for his eternal peace.
