LAHORE - Chairman Board of Management Post Graduate Medical Institute, Ameer-ud-Din Medical College and Lahore General Hospital Zia-ud-Din Kh distributed letters among 19 newly recruited teachers at a ceremony held on Saturday.
Principal PGMI/LGH Prof Anjum Habbib Vohra, faculty members, Dr Altumash, Dr Hamad Nasir, Dr Ahmed Naeem and parents of new staffers were also present. Newly appointed educators - 14 female and 5 male - will serve at Ameerud Din Medical College.
Ziaud Din Kh urged the new comers to play their due role for polishing talent of medical students. He said the country is in dire need of able and efficient doctors, urging the new tutors to train students by becoming role models for them.
Contrary to the past, the BoM itself has now distributed appointment letters to successful candidates so as to maintain their self-respect and to save them from the clerical hassles.
Prof Anjum Habib Vohra hoped the new appointments would improve the standard of services and students would be the beneficiary of these recruitments. The participants also prayed for those who lost their lives in Naltar helicopter tragedy and expressed grief and sorrow over the accident.
