Sana takes swipe at Khan for demanding Nawaz’ ouster


LAHORE – Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah has said that upcoming elections will expose the political status and popularity of PTI chief Imran Khan.
Commenting on the statement of Khan wherein he asked the Sharifs to quit politics, Sana said the PTI chief’s statement was aimed at running away from elections.
Claiming that Khan was dreaming of becoming prime minister, he said the PTI chief would wake up and know about his party standing soon.“Khan will come to know that (the person) who made him a ‘bogus’ leader is no more in the service.”
Meanwhile, MNA Hanif Abbasi said Khan, who had been demanding the implementation of SC decision in the Asghar Khan case, should start it with the cancellation of the membership of Javed Hashmi.
Earlier, PTI chairman Imran Khan said that PML-N chief should leave politics after the Supreme Court judgment in the Asghar Khan case.
He challenged his political opponents, “I will leave politics if any of my adversaries establish cases against me for taking funds or any assistance from the ISI to advance my political agenda”.  He expressed these views while addressing two separate functions. He announced that PTI would make ‘Iqbaliyat’ a compulsory subject, besides creating equal educational opportunities for all if voted into power.
He expressed the hope that a new Pakistan would emerge in the result of next general elections.  Imran said that he agreed with the Army Chief remarks that all state institutions should work in their own parameters.
Commenting over the neutrality of President Asif Zardari, he said that President had not remained an impartial person after the judgment in Swiss Cases.  He said that the politicians alleged PTI for getting the assistance of ISI to express its show of force in the provincial capital last year should not forget that same the agency should not fail sustaining Musharraf in power if it was such an omnipotent force.
Imran Khan said that the rulers might not need to live behind the high walls and huge security services if they were the real servants of the masses.
He remarked that elected representatives in our country who reached to the position of prime minister have not fulfilled their duties, as Nelson Mandela and Mahateer Muhammad did for their people.
Imran said that the countries, which didn’t uphold the rule of law and provide justice, could never join the road to progress.
He added that a common man in our country gets penalty for stealing a piece of bread, while the influential getaway with billions of rupees of public money.
He maintained that PTI would provide equal opportunities to each citizen of the country to excel in his economic goals in a bid to put the country on real road of progress.
Prominent among the party leaders present on this occasion include Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Shafqat Mehmood, Ahsan Rasheed, Naeemul Haq and Farooq Amjad Mir.
