LAHORE - The first phase of the annual Raiwind Tablighi congregation concluded on Sunday morning with the prayer for forgiveness and unity among Ummah.
More than a million people participated in the ending prayer. Thousands of Tablighi teams left the Pindal (central place for the participants) for other cities and parts of country and abroad to preach and spread the message of Islam.  
Earlier, their speeches the Islamist scholars stressed unity in the ranks of Ummah across the world to counter conspiracies and internal differences.
Prominent scholars who addressed the 3-day congregation were Haji Abdul Wahab, Maulana Tariq Jameel, Maulana Saad of India and Maulana Ahmad Bahawalpuri and others. Collective marriages of hundreds of couples at a simple ceremony were also held during the ijtima. The second phase of the congregation will start from November 13.
