LAHORE -- An Urdu Daily ‘Jurat’ in its special edition felicitated TheNation Editor-in-Chief Majid Nizami on receiving an honorary doctorate degree from the Punjab University on his lifelong services in the field of journalism. In a special addition wrote by the chief editor Jamil Athar Qazi, the newspaper termed Majid Nizami a bold editor who never bowed down before any dictator. Calling him a matchless editor of the country, Qazi wrote that the veteran journalist deserved the highest award. Noted journalist, Urdu Digest Editor and PINA Secretary General Altaf Hassan Quraishi congratulated Majid Nizami on receiving the great award. He also prayed for the health of the veteran journalist. Former Chief Justice of Pakistan Irshad Hassan Khan also felicitated TheNation Editor-in-Chief on receiving a PhD degree from the Punjab University.
