LAHORE - Over two thousand Sikh Yatrees from India arrived in the provincial capital through the Wagha Border on Tuesday to participate in Besakhi celebrations. The Evacuees Trust Property Board made special arrangements at the Wagha station for a warm welcome to the Indian guests.
ETPB Addition Secretary Shrines Zahid Hussain Bukhari, Deputy Secretary Faraz Abbas, Azhar Sulehri, Sardar Sham Singh, Chairman Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Parabandhak Committee, and a large number of local Sikh leaders and ETPB officers received the Yatrees.
They will visit their religious places including Hasanabdal, Panja Sahib, Dera Sahib and Nankana Sahib and Lahore. Pakistan Railways has arranged three special trains to facilitate the Yatrees from Wahga to Hasanabal.
Moreover, special trains will also be arranged from all over the country. Strict security measures have been adopted on the direction of Railways IGP Syed Ibne Hussain.
