LAHORE The Lahore High Court on Thursday granted bail to a blasphemy accused who has been in jail since four months. Justice Muhammad Anwarul Haq ordered the accused, Shahid Hussain, to furnish surety bonds of worth Rs 0.2 million for release on bail. The accused, a resident of Batapur, through his counsel submitted that he was implicated in the case by one Ahsan Nawab allegedly at the behest of one Iftikhar Malik, for he had a different sect and on false grounds.
