OUR STAFF REPORTER LAHORE - Political leadership and rulers should also make alliance for the release of Dr Aafia Saddiqui, instead of remaining just busy in making political alliance for enjoying powers and ruling over the country. Tehreek Istaqlal, Jamiat Ahle Hadith, Khakhsar Tehreek, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam, Shabab-e-Milli, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Tehreek Hurmat-e-Rasool and other organisations under banner of 'Aafia Movement Lahore on Sunday held a protest demonstration outside the Press Club against the America which is not willing to release the innocent daughter of the country despite lapse of three thousand days. The protesters chanted slogans for the release of Aafia and said that those following American orders were not the friends of Pakistan. Dr Aafias mother Asmat Saddique in her message said that around three thousand days had been passed but Aafia was still in illegal custody of Americans but our rulers had given their deaf ears to the matter. Different religious and political leaders condemned the detention of Dr Aafia and they demanded of the government to recover and bring back those Pakistanis who were still missing. Dr Fauzia Siddiqui, the younger sister of Aafia, has also been demanding that like the Pakistani hostages of Somalia pirates, Dr Aafia, the mother of three children, should be freed from the illegal detention and repatriated home.
