LAHORE -
The Nation Editor-in-Chief and Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust (NPT) Chairman Dr Majid Nizami urged students to follow Pakistan Movement veterans so that Pakistan could be transformed into an Islamic state.
The NPT chairman said this while during his presidential address at the inaugural function of the Ideological Summer School organised at the Aiwan-i-Karkunan-i-Tahreek-i-Pakistan.
Nizami told the students that there were two institutions in the Aiwan-i-Karkunan-i-Tahreek-i-Paistan; the Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust and the Pakistan Movement Workers Trust. Later, he awarded gold medals to participants of the Pakistan Movement. He said it was the 13th annual educational session of the ideological Summer School.
Nizami alluded to the miserable economic condition of the Muslims before partition and remarked that Pakistan enabled us to enjoy all the blessings of God, so we must render our best sciences to it.
It was Allama Iqbal who presented the Two-Nation Theory and persuaded Quaid-i-Azam to come back to India in order to the lead the Muslims of the sub-continent to their goal, Pakistan. The Pakistan resolution was passed at Lahore on March 23, 1940 and Pakistan came into being within a short period of 7 years, he informed.
Nizami remarked that the Aiwan was gift from Ghulam Hyder Wyne, a refugee, who had settled at Mian Channu, where he got schools and colleges built and rose to the high position of the Chief Minister of Punjab.
He said during the past 12 educational sessions, 3,100 students had become the graduates of the Ideological Summer School. He said the number of students at the present session would exceed 250 in a day or two. The Ideological Educational Mobile Units had enlightened 2.6 million boy– and girl- students about the two-nation theory under the auspices of the NPT. He told the students to talk to their parents about the ideology of Pakistan.
Pakistan Movement Workers Trust Chairman Col (r) Jamshed Ahmad Tareen remarked he had not only seen the Quaid-i-Azam, but also met him. Being a great and intrepid person, the Quaid said in the face of his opponent what was in his heart. Prof Rafique Ahmad observed that Quaid-i-Azam loved children and termed them as pearls and diamonds.
The students were awarded prizes who recited Iqbal’s verses correctly. The prize-holders included Muhammad Haris, Muhammad Usman, Talha Javed, Romina Imran, Muhammad Naeem, Wardah, Aiman Saleem, Hassan Javed.
Those present on the occasion included Justice (r) Munir Ahmad Mughal, NPT Legal Advisor; Begum Safia Ishaq and Shahid Rasheed, NPT Secretary. The Ideological Summer School has been jointly organised by the NPT and Pakistan Movement Workers Trust, which would continue for a month. Its motto is “Love Pakistan”.
Also, Justice (r) Dr Munir Ahmad Mughal will address NPT ideological summer school today (Tuesday) as a chief guest. The school enhances the educational, ideological and ethical performance of the students.
