Daanish school system debated

CHENABNAGAR - The Punjab government has desired to introduce and promote Daanish School System (DSS) for the uplift of education, especially in deprived and less developed areas of the province. In this regard, a sitting was held under the chair of Chiniot Deputy Director (Colleges) Prof Sarfraz Hussain at Government TI College Chenabnagar here the other day. During the meeting, a documentary about Daanish schools and their education system was screened. The sitting was attended by six principals of district Chiniot, professors, academicians, students and a five member delegation from the Government College University (GCU) Faisalabad. A heated discussion ensued the screening of the documentary in which the participants lauded the efforts of Punjab government for eradicating illiteracy. Prof Waqar Hussain, focal person of Daanish schools, applauded Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif for launching such a pro-public scheme for the poor strata of the society.He said, Now we can say that the school master is abroad in the Punjab. Prof Waqar also demanded that such a chain of Daanish schools should also be established in every city of district Chiniot.
