LAHORE - The city received scattered rains on Wednesday, making weather pleasant by causing considerable decrease in the mercury level.
The relief, however, was short lived as abundance of sunshine after the stoppage of rains again turned the weather muggy, causing Lahorites to sweat profusely.
Maximum and minimum temperature in Lahore was recorded 35 degree Celsius and 25 C respectively. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded 60 per cent. According to the experts, low pressure area persists over west Madhya Pradesh (India) and adjoining east Rajasthan. Seasonal low lies over north Baluchistan and adjoining areas. Weak monsoon currents are penetrating into upper parts of the country. A shallow westerly wave is prevailing over northern parts of the country. The local meteorological department has forecast partly cloudy weather with chances of rain-thundershower for the City during the next 24 hours.
