LAHORE (PR) – Annual prize distribution ceremony was held here on Wednesday at Govt Islamia College, Railway Road. The ceremony was presided over by college Principal Prof Amjad Ali Shakir, says a press release.
According to detail, fabulous prizes, consisting shields and trophies, were distributed amongst students who performed exceptional in their curriculum and co-curriculum activities in college. College Vice-Principal Mohammad Siddique Akhtar, Dr Saleem Akhtar, Prof Shahid Imtiaz and Prof Sh Mohammad Iqbal graced the occasion while sitting on stage. Dr Prof Tanveer Hussain was also present on the occasion. Prof Tanveer Hussain paid glowing tribute to college principal in holding such a colourful ceremony for the promotion of healthy activities.
In his presidential address, Principal Amjad Ali Shakir laid stress on the importance of co-curricular activities while appreciating the efforts of students who showed their mettles in various fields. He also assured the students of his continuous support in imparting education.
